Statement of Faith
The biblical foundations of this ministry: where I stand, why I stand there, and the Scriptures that hold it all together.
Biblical Core Conviction
My foundation is simple: salvation comes only by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. The Bible says it plainly: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). The moment a person truly believes, the Holy Spirit moves in immediately and stays forever. “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13 KJV). Jesus promised, “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17 KJV).
The Holy Spirit gives new life, seals us as God’s own, guides us into truth, makes us more like Christ, opens our understanding of Scripture, and gives us power to live for God and serve Him faithfully.
Everything I write here is meant to honor God’s Word, follow the Spirit’s leading, and point people to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29 KJV; 1 John 2:1-2 KJV).
Theological Approach
I study the Bible by letting it speak for itself, following the story of redemption from Genesis to Revelation, paying attention to history and culture, and trusting the Holy Spirit to illuminate its meaning. I go straight to Scripture for truth.
I respect theological systems like Calvinism or Arminianism only where they line up with the Bible. Where they stray, I stand on God’s Word alone. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13 KJV).
I am a Bible-centered Christian. Sola Scriptura, Scripture alone, is my authority. I depend on prayer, the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and careful, honest study of the text in its original language and context.
I hold these core truths with confidence because God’s Word is clear on them. At the same time, I stay humble and teachable, knowing that only the Bible is without error. Human understanding can miss the mark, so I keep yielding to the Spirit’s correction.
Theological Affirmation
Salvation is only through a personal relationship with God the Father by grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. At the moment of saving faith, the believer is instantly and permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit, who regenerates, seals, leads, guides, empowers, and sanctifies in their walk with God.
Jesus said it plainly: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6 KJV). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 KJV). “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV). And “he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36 KJV). There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 KJV).
We are saved by grace, through faith, and not by anything we do. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV). We are justified, declared righteous, by faith in Christ, without the deeds of the law (Romans 3:28 KJV; Galatians 2:16 KJV). God saved us, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy” (Titus 3:5 KJV).
The very moment you place your faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside you instantly and permanently. “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance” (Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV). Jesus promised, “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever... the Spirit of truth... ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17 KJV). God has “sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts” (2 Corinthians 1:22 KJV). “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV), and “your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you” (1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV).
He gives you new life. Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3 KJV). God saved us “by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5 KJV). “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
He seals you as God’s own child. “For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, ‘Abba! Father!’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:15-16 KJV).
He leads you. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14 KJV).
He empowers you. Jesus said, “ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you” (Acts 1:8 KJV). God strengthens us “with might by his Spirit in the inner man” (Ephesians 3:16 KJV). “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).
He makes you holy as you walk with God. “God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:13 KJV). We are “sanctified in Christ Jesus” (1 Corinthians 1:2 KJV), and the Spirit works that sanctification in us day by day.
And here is the guarantee: “if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his” (Romans 8:9 KJV). If you have trusted Christ, the Spirit is yours, right now, forever. “he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 KJV).
