Scripture Supports the Biblical Doctrine of the Trinity

Renew the Mind, Change the Life

The renewing of your mind is where God begins. A KJV study of Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:23 and Colossians 2:8 on how changed thinking changes the life.
Christ’s Blood, Not Baptismal Water, Washes Away Sin

Scripture says the blood of Jesus Christ washed us from our sins, cleanses from all sin, and obtained eternal redemption. It never says that of water. What Acts 22:16 and 1 Peter 3:21 actually teach, and why water baptism is obedience, not cleansing.
The Extreme Life Do-Over: A New Creature in Christ

Many people want a life do-over. Scripture offers something greater than a fresh start on the old life. A study outline of 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): what it means to be in Christ, what the believer now is, what is settled, and how this new life is received.
Blinded Minds: Why the Gospel Is Veiled

A study outline on 2 Corinthians 4:3–4: why the gospel is veiled to those who are perishing, how the god of this world blinds unbelieving minds, and how God Himself opens a blinded heart through His Word and His Spirit.
You Shall Be My Witnesses: Acts 1:8 and Water Baptism

A study outline on Acts 1:8: the power of the Holy Spirit given so that believers would bear witness to Jesus Christ, what Pentecost and Acts 10 demonstrate, and why water baptism testifies to the Savior rather than accomplishing salvation.
Jesus Christ Is Not God the Father Incarnate

A study outline on the biblical distinction between the Father and the Son: the eternal Word who was with God and was God, the Son (not the Father) who became flesh, the baptism of Jesus, the prayer of John 17, and the Father who sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
It Is the Spirit Who Gives Life

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” • John 6:63 (KJV)
Jesus is teaching a truth we can never manufacture on our own: spiritual life is entirely the work of God. We cannot produce eternal life through effort, ritual, good works, or human wisdom. Apart from Christ we are spiritually dead, and only God can make us alive (Ephesians 2:1–5).
The Holy Spirit gives life. The living Word reveals Christ (Romans 10:17). And salvation is “Not of works,” but is received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9).
The message is simple: God does the saving work. The Father draws us, the Word reveals Christ, the Spirit gives life, and the sinner receives eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
We cannot produce spiritual life. The Spirit must give it. The Word reveals it. Christ possesses it. Faith receives Him. And God receives all the glory.
