Go back to the very first chapter of the Bible and listen to how God speaks when He makes man. He does not say “I”. He says “us”:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26, KJV)

“Us.” “Our.” And then the very next verse: “So God created man in his own image” (Genesis 1:27): singular! Plural Persons, one God, in a single breath. That is not a contradiction, child of God; that is the Trinity, right there on page one.

All three were there at creation

And when you follow creation through the whole Book, you find all three Persons at work. The Spirit was there: “the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:2). The Son was there: hear John: “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). And Paul says of the Son, “for by him were all things created” (Colossians 1:16). The Psalmist ties it together: “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth” (Psalm 33:6): the LORD, His Word, and His breath (Spirit), creating together.

So here is the truth to carry home: plural Persons, one Creator, no contradiction. Not three gods. One divine Being: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, who made you in His image. Glory to God.

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (KJV)
